laying foundations & getting organized π§±π¨
happy january and happy new calendar year! iβm not one to subscribe to making huge changes at this time of the year - it just doesnβt feel quite right in the cold and dark of winterβ¦ so iβm marinating in what iβd love 2024 to bring and be, and laying the foundations for it to bloom in spring.
this year, iβm leaning into my main character energy, self trust, and being loud. loudly myself. iβm digging these vibes for myself π - i really feel like these past few years have been laying the foundations for me to get to this point, so it feels pretty dang exciting to be here, laying the foundations for me to bloom into my own story. π·
what energy are you calling in this year? iβd love to hear about it and celebrate it with you!
as i embark on my main character voyage, iβm considering all the different facets of my life that make me who i am, and self expression is a big part of that. one of my fav ways to express myself is through fun hair colors! π¨
during the pandemic, i took a break from doing anything wild to my hair. when i decided to get back into it, i surprisingly felt pretty overwhelmed. i realized that i had never written down what dyes and colors i used, how the results turned out, what process we did (we = my mom & i, thank you mom for dyeing my hair for the past 20 years π)β¦ i felt like i didnβt know where to start.
then i realized that i could use my number 1 software resource to help me outβ¦ Notion! and build a hair [dye] dashboard so i could keep track of everything. i am so freaking grateful to have Notion in my life now, because this whole hair dyeing process just got a hell of a lot easier. and more fun! π
iβve got a database to store all the important info: hair dye brand & color & ratios, the result, the instructions/process, any other notes, and photos! iβve got a gallery of all my beautiful past hair colors which brings me a lot of joy. βοΈ
my most recent hair color adventure! β€οΈ
and it makes it so easy to be able to look at a photo, see what i used, and have much more success at recreating it if i want! π·
this is also super helpful for salon visits cuz i can jot down what my stylist used and have a photo so iβm more prepared whenever i go back to the salon. π
now i donβt have to feel panicked or overwhelmed or try to remember all the details from past dyesβ¦ i can just check out my notes. and that leaves all the free space in my head to be able to dream up the next creative self expression adventure. π¨π
are you getting ready to dye your hair? or just wanna create a dopamine gallery full of all your fav hair styles & colors over the years? check out the Notion hair dash template and start embarking on your hair journey with more ease! π§βπ¦°π

MHO is the first thing I do when I sit down to work for the week. Itβs my time to plan out the week.
Iβve been building and refining my system inside Notion for over 2 years now, and after much experimenting, data collecting, and refining, this is what Iβve found that works best for me and my beautiful ADHD brain.
Last week, I held a little celebration ritual in private. I gave thanks to myself, my business, everything I have learned, all the ways Iβve grown, all the people who have had an impact on helping my business shape and grow into what it is, and to all the lovely people I have gotten to work with. I sat here, at my desk, in awe, wonder, amazement, and feeling so grateful and also very proud.
The change of seasons is an excellent time to do a lil energetic and organizational reset around your home. Here are some of my favorite rituals to do on or around the fall equinox (or just anytime during the season)!
These practices are part of my regular self-care routine that help me to take care of my physical and mental health so that I am better able to show up in the world to do all the things I love!
This past week in therapy, my therapist and I were talking about intrusive thoughts, anxiety, worry, and adhd. I explained to her an example of something challenging that I had been dealing with that morning.
My lovely therapist said, βBrigitte, thatβs textbook ADHD.β She then opened up the DSM and read me the characteristics of ADHD.
Iβve been working on tapping into more joy and pleasure. I re-started using a daily journal in Notion, and swapped out everything I was previously tracking for just two properties: joy and gratitude.
In this video I go over:
headquarters for organization
daily dashboard for task and project management
